The longest eclipse

It seems that the race for "most" to which reference was yesterday when he spoke of the world's tallest hotel in Cairo, has joined nature.

In Asia and parts of Africa were able to visualize the annular solar eclipse of longer duration, which does not happen again until 3043. The ring of light from the Indian Ocean, where it had its maximum duration, could be seen for eleven minutes and eight seconds.

When the moon comes between the earth and the sun, and not enough to fully cover there is a light ring that gives its name to the eclipse. At its peak masking the moon formed almost a complete ring that managed to hide eighty percent of the sun.
The phenomenon occurred at 16.37 local time.

From Burma could be observed in most of the country until 1659.

There was also a large part of India where he called many people eager not to miss the hearing.

There were many people who had the opportunity to see through special glasses or just using x-rays or slides of photographs. As always some did without any protection although it is well known harmful effects on the eye that can cause this phenomenon.

Teachers prepared activities for the children who attended the same class could look through telescopes.

They have been referred from the Sheshan Astronomical Observatory, Shanghai, China that many astronomers have spent their days and their money to watch this unique phenomenon.
